2008 Annual Women's Brunch

Female psychiatrists, residents, medical students and other leaders joined IPS at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago for the 8th Annual Women's Brunch on Sunday, November 23, 2008.  Illinois State Representative, Deborah Graham, was the keynote speaker who talked about dealing with a family member's mental illness while growing up. Her talk struck a chord with all who attended the brunch.  APA President, Nada Stotland, also spoke at the brunch who talked about the importance of women psychiatrists in mentoring positions.  

While the event is geared to women, it does not exclude the men who wish to attend.  The 2008 Brunch had several supportive male colleagues in attendance.
