2009 IPS Advocacy Day

Members of IPS traveled to Springfield, IL on March 24 for the 2009 IPS Advocacy Day.  Topics discussed included the Prison Medicaid Bill: SB 231/HB 766, RX Schedule II Medications: HB 488, and the Closure of Chicago Mental Health Centers. 

After a long day of lobbying, IPS threw a cocktail reception for all of the state representatives and senators at Saputo’s.  Followed by the reception was a dinner held at the Governor’s Mansion where Governor Pat Quinn made an appearance.

Illinois senators and state reps were supportive of the IPS members making the 2009 IPS Advocacy Day a successful event.
