2010 Brainless Bowl

On Friday, January 15, 2010, the Illinois Psychiatric Society (IPS) hosted its first-ever Brainless Bowl for Residents and Early Career Psychiatrists (ECPs).  Teh event was held at Seven Ten Lounge in Lincoln Park, IL and proved to be a success.  IPS leadership had been searching for an idea for a residents event for some time and decided on the Brainless Bowl hoping it would give their members a chance to unwind a bit.

Residents were teamed up with ECPs and an experienced psychiatrist to maximize the networking opportunity.  Two prizes were given out, one to the team with the highest score and one to the residency program with the highest percentage of attendees.  University of Chicago had the highest number of attendees, scoring a trophy that is to be brought back next year and passed to the 2011 winner.

Overall, the event was a success and members enjoyed their night out.  IPS hopes to grow the attendance of the Brainless Bowl for 2011.
